I don’t like to complain. Really, I don’t – but tonight I have to share our experience in the worst restaurant in Tempe – DiVerti Bar & Grill.
We sat down to a dirty table, which would have never been cleaned if we didn’t ask. The waitress kindly said, “I can’t find my bar rag.” Really, she said that.
Things seemed to be working towards a better start when we placed the order. We wanted pizza and asked about the size of the pizza. We were told that if you’re hungry we should order two. Ok, whatever I guess they’re small 10″ pizzas. No worries, there’s two of us so, we order two pizzas plus sweet potato tots. The pizzas come out and they’re regular size. No way anyone can eat all of this food.
Tots were forgotten and then rushed out. (Typical this has happened before and what you should expect from the worst restaurant in Tempe.) The pizzas – well, the cardboard with cheese and sauce brought to us was absolutely terrible. Terrible. Plus it wasn’t cut all the way through. Things are not going well….
Now for the best part. When we asked for to-go boxes and we were given two small sandwich containers. Hey Waitress – did you not see the amount of pizza left over? How the hell can I get all this pizza in these tiny boxes….This was easily the worst dining experience I’ve ever had in Tempe. The absolute worst.
Here’s the kicker. This is the third bad meal and experience I’ve had at this place. I’ve given DiVerti Bar & Grill in Tempe three chances now. Every single experience has been plagued with wrong orders, food missing from order, terrible service and just a lot of all around suck.
Needless to say, this was the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time. DiVerti Bar & Grill wins the award of the worst restaurant in Tempe. Seriously, take your $40 and give to a homeless guy, because that would be more worth it than spending any money in this place.
